Drivers

Drivers in Chennai don’t know the purpose and meaning of the low beam in their vehicle! Most of them are driving, in the night, with high beam, not taking into account the traffic on the other lane! :|

    I had developed a counter strategy to this. If you’re on a bike your high beam will shine right into the face of a car driver so use your high beam and point your headlight at the car. Many times the other driver will switch to low beam. Point made.

    Thats exactly what I am doing! :lol:

    Guess what? Yesterday when i was driving car with arun, i realized quite late that I was using high beam and immediately changed to low beam.

    Here I see you have written a post on the same! haha

    I’ve encountered this problem many times.. Light straight on my face..Before issuing license, these rules have to be taught to drivers. I had a one hour lecture on driving rules before getting license!

    I have been experiencing this problem everyday. The route to my house from the main road is quite dark and everytime a car or bike on the opposite uses a high beam, it completely blinds me… No matter what I do, these fools could never understand I’m being blinded.. Or probably they love to see me being blinded!!!!

  7. Nithya Pari says:

    YEah, I was not able to turn right at alll… totally blinded!!

  8. Aparna says:

    @Vivek,
    Until they experience it they won’t know. And people sitting inside car doesn’t experience this much, its ppl using two wheelers struggle. License is given not only to ensure that u can drive well but it also assures that u know the road rules.. and it includes when to use high beam and low beam

  11. Nithya Pari says:

    @Vivek,
    That was the first time I drove car all alone and used a beam as first time night driving. I immediately changed it to low beam. So dont you dare call me a bad driver!

  12. Avenger says:

    @karthika

    and you think they’ll listen to those “lectures”?? you just have to learn it by yourself and by ‘you’ i mean all drivers
    @nithya

  14. karthika says:

  15. Avenger says:

    no inbam there for me! :P

  16. Kavin says:

    lolz… if you could probably alter between higher and lower beam, then the message would be more than conveyed…

  17. Avenger says:

    meaning that i should switch high and low beam continuously?? that means you are asking way and want to over take the vehicle in front of you! :P
